Clothing and Other Personal Articles
- Sunday Wear: Have a suit or jacket and trouser combination and black shoes for Sundays and solemn occasions at the Seminary. Colours such as dark grey or blue are preferable. Have a selection of white shirts and necktie
- School Wear: Clothes should be suitable for church, classes and dining room on regular school days. Pants should be dress pants or slacks, which may be of a lesser quality than worn on Sundays. Jeans and trousers made of denim are not acceptable, nor are khaki casuals or cargo type pants. A jacket, sports coat or sweater is recommended during cooler weather with shirt and tie. Clothing worn in church should not have monograms or distracting designs.
- Sports: Need gym shorts, t-shirts, runners, a pair of gym shoes reserved for use in the gymnasium and soccer boots. Most students also bring hockey sticks and gloves for road hockey.
- Old Clothes: These are useful for outdoor activities and work projects. Work boots and gloves may also come in handy.
- Bed Spread: Should have one that is machine washable. The seminary provides sheets, pillow and blankets although many students prefer to bring their own bedding and linen from home.
- Personal: Students supply their own bath towels, hand soap and other toiletries, table napkins and ring, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies for their room. (There are two sets of coin operated washers and dryers in the residence for use by the students.)
Books
Students can expect to spend several hundred dollars on textbooks in the course of a school year. New students will have to purchase a set of choir books for Mass and the Divine Office. The Seminary book store provided the required books at cost and also carries a stock of stationery items.
