Student Attendance Policy

Seminarians are expected to attend all classes.

If for serious reason (e.g. doctor’s appointment) a seminarian has to miss a class, he is to let the professor and/or the rector know ahead of time. The missed work can then be arranged to be caught up.

Unplanned absences, due to illness, are dealt with as they arise. A plan for completing missed material and work is arranged with the Rector and professor of the missed class.

Ongoing and/or frequent absences will become matter for the seminarian’s spring review, and is factored into his assessment with regard to his suitability for the priesthood and its commensurate responsibilities.
